Just Imagine what it means to a wheelchair bound individual to have a helping hand and a loving companion. To experience a freedom we too often take for granted. Dogs for Disabilities, Inc. is very excited to be planning our second annual 5k Walkathon on September 12th 2009. All in support of providing service dogs to those in need.
All walking participants registered by August 31st will receive a Dogs for Disabilities, Inc. Walkathon t-shirt. There is a ten dollar ($10.00) registration fee per participant. Prizes will be awarded to those who reach sponsorship levels. Registrations will be accepted at the event; however t-shirts will be available on a first come first serve basis. Dogs who will be walking with their owners must be leashed (no retractable leashes please) and picked up after in accordance with Kane County Forest Preserve regulations.
